Wonder what it sounded like when Ike hooked that 12+ lb fish this year (biggest fish ever hooked in BASS by the way) maybe he was just speechless.

I know that the guides on the new rod are designed by Berkley for that rod. I'm sure they designed the hardware too. Matagi hardware comes from Japan and is super expensive. You couldn't afford to put it on a $130 rod and make money.

Right on cue. They have his signature series rods on clearance for $100. I've heard these are pretty solid rods and would consider getting one myself, but I'm trying to save every penny for a new boat. They have his finesse jigs on sale as well if anyone is interested.
