Last year was my first year using fluorocarbons. I mainly used P-Line floroclear and BPS. Both were good to me but I prefered P-Line as it seemed to have slightly less memory and seemed to stay supple longer over time.

For this year; I'll be trying out P-Line ultimate fluoro, Seguar Invisx and suffix 832. My 7 year old son got me some spiderwire braid for xmas so I'll be giving that a shot too.

Actually, Keith, I haven't. The Sufix was the first and only Braid I've tried. But I'm more than happy enough with it, to know I'm not gonna drop a 20 to try another lol.

Now, the mono? I've tried way too many at this point

I must've missed this post Keith. I'm not Mallen, but I've used both.

Powerpro was a decent line, but I found it a bit too rough. Performance Braid is smoother and slightly limper once it gets broken in. Overall, I liked the PB better due to its smoothness and limpness. It was quieter going through rod guides as well.

I'll report later this year on 832 and possibly Daiwa Samurai Braid

I also have used both Powerpro and Performance Braid. I drew the same comclusions as BB. I prefer the the Performance Braid over Powerpro because it is so much more limp and it just handles so much better for me.

A couple of years ago for most: P-Line Floroclear for most applications, and Powerpro for braid. Jury still out of Suffix for mono-topwater application.

I use P-Line CXX for about everything... except for my deep crankbait rod and tube rod... they see Floroclear. My dropshot rods see P-Line Fluorocarbon. My braid choice is Stren Sonic Braid, it has been the smoothest casting for me, when compared to Sufix PB, and PowerPro...

I strictly use mono. Berkely Trilene 10, 12, and 14 lb tests.

I've played around with braid before but call me old fashioned, i love Trilene! lol

P-line floroclear for just about everything I have. Been using it for about 5 years now and really don't have any complaints!

I stick with copoly Pline CX and CXX for anything that requires a mono or fluoro line, and for braid I stick with PowerPro 20-50lb. green.

The only time I use mono is 4-6lb test for bluegill rods where line is not overly important.

P-line flouroclear. In 8,12,15,20lb. Power pro braid in 20-30 lb for flippin. That's it, tried everything else. And just stick to what works n lasts for me.

Usually use P-line for Flouro, Power-pro for braid, Trilene for Mono...going to try one spool of Seagar Tatsu this year....heard good things about it...a little pricey, but going to use it with a Falcon Expert 7'2" medium heavy rod, Quantum tour Edition 100 reel.
