Default Seaguar Tatsu FC?

I remember a while back that Kevin said he thinks it is Seaguar's best line.

I've been looking around and can't find anything about it except that its new, special extruding process, double structure, etc.

So, is this even out yet?

If so, anybody got a link to where I could buy some or at least know how much it costs?

BB

Hi BB... Tatsu isn't out yet and won't be out for a month or two at least, I think. I personally haven't tried it and doubt there are too many that have. I don't know the exact pricing, but from what I understand it's pretty exorbitant. So unless you want to treat yourself with the supposedly finest fluorocarbon known to man, stick with the more affordable AbrazX. I buy Bass Pro's XPS lines too since they are made by Seaguar and am a fan of them as well. I'll be able to get my hands on a pack of Tatsu as soon as it hits the market though, so I'll be sure to let you know because I'm interested myself. I look at it as a luxury line.

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll get some AbrasX and not wait for the Tatsu.

BB,

If the applications you plan to use FC line demand limpness, Invizx is the ticket. It is the finest limp FC I have used. Visit Seaguar's site to see a chart that lists the major traits of their lines to see which one will suit you.

Ib, thanks for the info.

I use InvisX now and love it. Best fluoro I've used so far.

I did read somewhere that the AbrasX is just as limp as the invisx, but I wouldn't believe that until I saw myself. With most FC line, more abraision resistant normally means stiffer. I am gonna get some Abrasx for my baitcaster and put some InvisX on my spinning reel.

BB I am still torn between InvizX and Trilene 100% fluorocarbon as I have both spooled for different applications.

http://www.seaguar.com/products/tatsu.htm

Check it out! It means Dragon in Japanese. So it must be good!

I dunno, but it looks pretty sweet!

Glad to see you're an Invizx fan, BB. The Abrazx has also caught my attention, but I would prefer to buy it in person vs online. Haven't seen it locally anywhere yet.

Our BPS carries all four Seaguar lines (Carbon Pro, Red Label, InvisX, AbrasX.)

I've used the Carbon pro as a leader with no issues, but I've heard it's not that great as a mainline. I'm gonna have to pick up some InvisX in 6 or 8lb test for my spinning reel. I do want to try AbrasX, but I don't have anything to use it for right now.

The new Tatsu is sweet! I just tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and it is great. But like a lot of you are saying, the AbrazX, InvizX and Red Label are all great products.

tbrinks, welcome to the Nut-House!

How much did a spool cost you, and where did you get it?

I got it at ICAST for no charge to review for my website. I heard the cost is going to be pretty expensive...close to $40. But this stuff is awesome. With all of my fluoro I leave it on for months and it always holds up. I also use mono backing so I can get 3 reels spooled from one 200 yard spool.

I have a friend in the business in Japan, and he sent me the Japan market only version (Riverge or R18) of Tatsu in 6 & 16 back in the summer. Absolutely awesome line.

Very smooth finish, and for Fluoro that's as abrasion resistant as it is, it's amazingly supple.

The 16 will replace all my line between 12 & 20. And the 6 is absolutely the best drop shot line I've found.
