My first bow was a PSE Spyder and it served me well. I even shot my first deer with it at 20 yards on only my second trip. I recomend it for beginners. Bow huting is a great sport. But becoming a good bow hunter takes practice. Remember that.... Good luck dude. I hope you like whatever you get....

I shoot Hoyt. I have the Ultra Mag from 2005. Set at 55lbs, every deer except for one has been a pass through and I have tagged. The other one I hit far forward.

I have yet to shoot one with the Martin but I did downone with my PSE. Earlier this season I gutshot a 8 point with my Martin at close to 40 yards and couldnt find it. We did find the bones this past saturday on a deer drive next to the railroad tracks. The squirells had already chewed the rack up though.....
