Default Ardent reels ?

Hey guy's
Have not been on in a while, the site has changed alot. i was wondering if any body has tried these reels? I am really looking at the xs600 and I like the fact they are U.S.A. made. Any input would be great. Just dont want to spend $200.00 if it is not a good product.

I've held some and they feel really cheap. When it comes to fishing reels, Japan's products beat american by far IMO. I haven't used an ardent, but don't plan on buying one anytime soon. I'll stick with Daiwa.

Why reinvent the wheel. At best all you could hope for is a reel equal in quality and performance to either Daiwa or Shimano. Most likely they aren't. So my honest advice to you is to spend your $200 on a proven winner.

It's a world wide economy. Most likely half or more of the components weren't made in this country, only final assembly took place here.

Spend your hard earned money on quality.
