I see they're selling those at Tacklewarehouse.com. I might give them a try, but the pricetag kinda turns me off from them. $16 plus shipping is a bit much... Though it might be worth it for me. I fish a lake that's being taken over by weeds and lillypads. If they work, they work...

I know it's kind expensive, however, my friend told me it's very durable. I haven't tried them yet!

i would say, that given the same conditions as the video, a two dollar frog would achieve the same results. fish dont know. fish are stupid and creatures of habit. just be in the right place at the right time and you can catch fish with almost anything. now that has to be a true "murphy's law".
the law is open for debate and review and further discussion.

After the first bass, is the guy in the video catching snakefish? Kinda looks like those ugly critters. And, gotta love the cigarette hangin' out of the guys mouth in the commercial.

yup, those last two are snakeheads. I agree w/ scrap. I think I could have just as much luck w/ a 2 dollar frog. The bait doesn't move much different than the old school jitterbug.

i agree with scrap to, on a cloudy day like that, any grass can produce some good bites. just throw any kind of weedless lure in there and you will probably get bit.

Thumbs up These are worth the price!

I fish many frogs and I can fish the same spot with one of these that I have fished with a frog for 15 minutes and catch a bass. The largest bass I have ever caught was caught on one of these the first day I fished it. Like all frogs they take a bit to get used to. There is only one hook in the top but when you hook one, it is in the roof of their mouth.

They are not like any other frog and it is not the same action as a jitterbug since the part that cause the jitter is at the back of the lure instead of the front.

I hope people do not fish them. More for me

I've caught a bunch of bass on Basiriskys. They have great action and are a good choice when you're fishing scattered grass patches. Think of it like a weedless jitterbug. They don't wobble right when fished on top of a mat though. If I'm trying to cover water fast and the grass isn't totally matted, I'll use one. In the real thick stuff a standard frog is the way to go.

Thanks for the tip Bryan. I got one from InEccess a while back. I've thrown it a couple of times with no luck. What color do you have success with?

I've only used them in white and green, and white has worked the best. Actually the bass in my avatar has a white Basirisky frog in it's mouth.
