Default Fishing rivers

Somebody posted recently about fishing rivers. I started fishing a small river in southwest Ohio, and I've caught a few largemouths and smallmouths, but I think I should be doing a little better than I am. Does anyone know of any books on river fishing?

Here is an aerial photo of an area I fished recently. There used to be some sort of damn there.

I have caught several in front of the concrete wall just to the left of the rapids (to the right of the thumbnail pictures). I've had quite a bit of success there using paca craws on jigs.

From the shaded area out to the center of the river in the bend is relatively deep. The current in that area flows backwards. The river is grassy along the edge in the bend.

I've had zero success fishing in muddied waters after it rains.

Any tips on fishing specific structure, current, etc. in rivers?
