berkley frenzy baits

I've been lookin at a few of these lures from berkley and am undecided on the practicality of them . there are a few of the lures that are half hard plastic and then have a soft plastic tail to give it more realistic swimming motion . Have any of you guys ever used them or got any thoughts about them ?

i haven't grabbed them yet because they are about the size of your normal shad rap lure but only have one treble hook that looks to be set a little to close to the front of the lure , it might just be me but who knows i'm sure i'll keep looking at them and eventually give it a shot .

I've had pretty good success with Berkly's Frenzy baits. They seem to swim and catch fish just as good as Raps but for half the price. I'd say pick some up.

As for the ones with the plastic tail, never tried 'em. They look to be more of a gimmick bait to me. Any hinged crank should give basically the same action. You must remember that a bass is likely to hit anything that moves in front of it's nose, JMHO though. The only thing I see good about these is that they closely resemble bullfrog tadpoles. If you do pick one up, let us know how it does.

I have had great success with the Berkley Frenzy Floating Flicker Shad. I recommend picking a couple of these up. I actually own one of each type the Frenzy hard baits. I did buy the one you are referring to but I have yet to get out fishing but can't wait to try it. I do agree with you Jim about it having only one treble hook which may make it difficult to set the hook so it will be interesting to see. I have had many fish hit these baits the minute it hits the water, almost like a reflex strike, so again I recommend trying these baits. Best of luck.
