Bass Pro Mono handles quite a bit better, but I don't think it's as tough....

I don't know that it's always the case because I haven't used every brand of line available but as a general rule of thumb, the more abrasion resistant a line is, the more memory it's going to have. There are a lot of good brands of line, out there available. Maybe some are inherently better than the others but in generall if the've been properly stored then you shouldn't have any problems with it. Big Game does have memory, every line does to a certain extent, if you fish a lot of heavy cover you would be better off with a high abrasion resistant line like big game. That doesn't mean it won't get abraided and break so you still got to check your line regularly while you're fishing. like mentioned there are line conditioners that help with eliminating memory.

I use 12lb big game on my crankbait rod and topwater rod, but other than that I use suffix elite. A store near here sells the 100 yard filler spools for 1.99$ so I just buy them when I change my line. Usually use 10lb or 14lb on my worm rods, 17 for spinnerbait and jig(when its to clear to use braid) and then braid for frogs and some jigs.

I've used Big Game for 25 years or so. Good line. Cheap. I use it only on baitcasting reels.

I decided to pick up a 1175 yd spool of 12 lb (Berkley Big Game) last night at BPS as a backup and for leaders. $8 for that much is a decent deal.
I will report back after I have had a chance to actually use it.

been using 10 and 12 lb big game for 2 years now. no problems, nice and tough, and got like 5 spools on clearance at end of year for $5 each, even better.

Big game has too much memory. Suffix is just as strong if not stronger i would say, and with much less memory and more sensitivity. Suffix is the way to go with mono. If you don't wanna spend the extra money, I'd stick with trilene rather than going to stren.
Hope this helps.
