haven't done much bass fishing.what is a good bait to try.

here is a simple answer..in my opinion..no lure beats a spinnerbait

Phil, Welcome to the site.I will warn you though, I have quit smoking and I have quit drinking, but I don't think I could ever quit fishing, so if you don't really have alot of free time, its best not to punish your self, just walk away while you can, better yet run like hell. ;D ;D ;D P N J

shiners and minnows are my prefered bait of choice. Guarenteed to catch fish or die trying.

Man i would love to use shiners but their so darn expensive here 5.25 a dozen > > :'(

Most of the guys on here are beginners too with the exception of the older guys. ;D

i can get shiners here for around 3 bucks a dozen...

a great live bait for bass is softshell crabs. bass'll fight over 'em

Hey guys i'm new too. Any advice, i just graduated high school and im bored. I love to fish. It is relaxing i'd just like to catch some fish in the process. Any advice on getting started.
