Re: What to do
Oof. Remember, when it's colder, reel it slower. Fish are less active. It could be the way you retrieve your lure. You could also try senkos or something like that, and let it fall and barely twitch it. Maybe get a suspending jerkbait and jerk it, and wait for about one minute, then jerk it again. If it is muddy water, you may need something that thumps. You could use a swimbait, or a spinner with a big blade. Use bright colors. thats all i got. ~discgolfer

Good to see ya trap. Try deadsticking some weightless plastics around rhe wood. A PNJ with a rattle would probably also work. I really like baby flukes this time of year. Glad you're going fishing. Lizards |

Re: What to do
RT,
Sounds identical to a pond I've been fishing. I'm using a plastic bait that resembles a 5" YUM Wooly Curltail, something that moves a lot of water when you twitch it. I had also thrown cranks and spinners but to no avail. Pitch in a pig, pull out a hawg! |

Re: What to do
Texas Rig some kind of dark colored plastic (lizard or sweet beaver or brushhog) 3/8 oz lead and a glass rattle (the big one). pitch or cast into every piece of wood. Move the bait slowly, but , shake it often!! Very good for muddy water.

Re: What to do
I've heard of some cool farm pond stories. Like the fish literally fighting for lures and if one misses the other ones go right after it. Farm bass r supposed to b pretty big too. Umm...a worm almost never fails. And a tube would b a good idea too. Anything that moves slowly. I don't have like any faith in jigs so i won't recommend that.

Re: What to do
Try a small profile spinner bait , like a rocket shad.
Also try a internally weighted tube and it will slide across the bottom with no problems. Both Lindy and BPS sell these kind of weights, get the one's with rattles. flippin4it |

Re: What to do
Just go fishing. Every day is a new day. The fact you haven't caught anything before doesn't have anything to do with the next time.
