Default Home made baits

I was talking to a friend the other day. He has a friend who makes his own plastics. He says the guy does very well in tournaments with them. Plus he adds some type of animal fat in the mixture. Sounds like a great idea. anyone ever heard of this.

I could be mistaking but I believe Netbait is one of several soft plastic companies that add animal fat to their baits. I can't swear that to be the case but it seems like I heard that when Netbait first started out. Either way I do like the scent of their baits.

I sometimes mix a teaspoon of bacon drippings in 1/2 cup of plastic before I pour some jig trailers. Seems to make them hold on longer and tighter...but it might just be all in my head.

Anything that smells like bacon is sure to make me hold on longer!
