Default Need Advice

I just purchased a '85 Ranger 350v.

The boat looks great but theres 3-4 small spots on the metal flake(top of boat) where the clear coat is peeling. The metal flake is fine, just the clear coat.
There about the size of a quarter.
I know if I don't do something it could turn into something bigger.

So what would be the best way to repair the small areas?
Could one get buy with clear finger nail polish since the spots are small?

I dont recommend clear finger nail polish. Find a car shop or someone that will mix up a small amount of clear polyurethane (clearcoat) in a can for ya. Will last alot longer and wont hurt the rest of the finish. Wet sand the area so that the sharp edges disapear where the gel has popped loose. Use a decent hair brush not one of the nylon bristle brushes. You will be happier with the results. As far as sand paper 189grit will do the job quickly and finish it with 320 grit. Since they are that small no need to go any smaller with the grit of the paper.
