Default jack plate????

what way do you adjust it to make the ride more stable? i have a new stratos 200 xl w/ 250 merc and when i try to ggo wide open the boat starts to do the death wobble. i just want to make the ride stable at high speeds around 68 to 70 mph .

thats the chin walk steve nothing you can do to the moter will stop it. ya have to learn to control it..turning the wheel to make a 10 mile left turn is the only way i can describ it..

and watch this

it is done with a toon but still...

250 on most 200xl will hit 80+mph. at that speed before warned about the "gravel road" as your next handlin poblem..

Default 2 Questions Regarding My Bass Tracker

Hi,
What do you guys recommend for a carpet cleaner. Also my boat is aluminum so I was wondering what I could use on the Aluminum to make it shine. Thanks.

going higher raises the rpm, lowers water pressure, makes it go faster.

it may handle better -don' count on it-it may have a better hole shot..

Default Motor

Raising the engine also gets more of the LU out of the water = less drag = more speed. Will mitigate but eliminate chine walk. Most boats capable of 70+ MPH are going to do this to some extent and you have to learn to control with steering input. 3.25" is probably close to where you need to be. Watch your water pressure, can't say that enough.

Start by getting the boat where it just starts to walk. Learn to control that and then bump the trim a little. This adds a little speed and makes the boat a little looser. If it gets away from you trim down, get it under control. Repeat as necessary. Pretty soon you will get the feel for it.

Foil is a bandaide for hole shot. Won't do squat for tha wiggle. Set up (offset, motor height, prop, steerin', solid mounts and etc.) will help but tha only way ta cure tha wiggle is learnin' how ta drive tha boat. Seat time, seat time and more seat time. Listen ta some of these guys and try tha things they tell ya. I have no trouble drivin' these things but I have a problem tryin' ta tell someone else how its done. Its like someone said, "I drive Allisons cause I can drive Allisons". Just don't ask me how!

+1..........Ally hit the nail onthe head. Seat time and drive her. Only way you gonna cure the go fast boat that you have now.

both ally and laser are right best thing to focus on this summer is learning to driving it. if you know some one close to your location that can drive a fast boat let them drive and watch how they do it..

i am not saying that i can jump in laser's pocket rocket and drive it nearly as fast as he can. i am saying that i know how to drive a boat at that speed. even i get a lil squemish when bustin azz around the 100 mph mark.-and i have been doing this for years-
