Nicely done, sir. Looks great.
Did you ever think about extending the front deck back further, say to the driver's console? The front deck on my little boat is similar to yours, and I'm constantly wishing for more space.

Yup thats part of the other 30% i need to do. deck with some built in storage as this boat has virtually none and i hate clutter in a boat when i am fishing i like it neat and clean. I am thinking of bringing the deck back to the furtherest back side edge of the console. Saving $ for the aluminum now to save on weight. Thanx for the comments and reply.

"Just tie a Yellow Ribbon 'round the old TMmmmm..."

You've done an amazing job of work there. Enjoy!
And...I second the motion for extending the front deck. Not only might you increase storage but it will be a definite safety boost as well.
I recommend a step-up from cockpit to extended deck, since Gramps or a person with knee issues might wanna climb up. The step-up can be configured as a small cooler or storage as well.

Again, GOOD JOB!

for what my opinion is worth.....i would leave a space under the front deck for a co-anglers tackle bag. my ranger has this and it really helps keep things out of the way (it's also a good place to keep the net out of the way but where you can get to it really quick).

just a thought

Ya thats the plan, for tackle bags and a cooler, i dont use a net though. Any opinion is welcome the more you hear the better it can possibly turn out. Thanx!!

Sounds like aluminum is out of the question priced a 4' X 4' 3/16 thick and its abt $200 just for that not including the floor braces....OUUUUUUUUUUCH!!!!!!!! To plan B now which i have no idea what that is yet.....LOL

I wished i aint that loaded its a 900 series, Once you use Humminbird you won't use anything else. I have used them all from the 100 series to the 900 series and nothing but great results from them.

Yup its got one and one of the best safety inventions ever, just like the kill switch in nascar even though they get used hardly ever but great to have incase you need it.

if aluminum is what you want, then i would pinch pennies until you can afford it. if you settle for something else you may not be happy and your gonna be stuck with it for a long time. again, that is my opinion for what ever it is worth.

I hear ya there, i may make a drop in out of some other material for now then do the aluminum thing this winter, i wanted aluminum do to weight saving and i would only have to do it ONCE, but since it will mainly be me and my 6 year old fishing out of it this year it should be fine for now plus its not like its 64sq foot of decking its only abt a 16 ft square.

Fantastic job and I want to add save your pennis for the aluminum. I just finished mine...........extended the deck and transformed the lil Tidecraft into the worlds only 16XD Bullet ever built(a little humor there). You will not be sorry for using the aluminum but you will be sorry for the added weight and handling issues involved with adding that weight in with wood. Even though you have a slower rig you would notice a huge difference in handling issues and performance. 200 seems alot but think about it this way...............What are you gonna have to do to overcome the added weight of the wood to get the boat to run correctly??? and the amount of fuel you will use in a VERY FEW short trips will have you thinking Dang I wish I had used aluminum. Trust me bud I know this from experience good and bad. I been doing boat work for years now and I wouldnt steer you wrong.

Bassmaster17, just a suggestion here. Try a scrap yard for the aluminum. Around here we have quite a few yards and they will sell you whatever you want for the going price of the metal. You might find something you are looking for.
