I know. That is why it is a joke. This is an adult site so you have to be an adult and take a joke. This isn't school where you can go beat up the dude when he says stuff. Let it go....

ok. i can do a jerkbait sort of thing (like a husky jerk), a small torpedo like thing (zara pooch), lipless crank, popper, and i can also create anything entirely new. even a spiral. if you can mold it with clay, i can do it with this paste

here is some paste i made in silver. this was my first batch, and i didnt have the ratio down right. i needed more foil (i use foil for silver) and les paper (since foil is really thin, i needed paper to thicken it). this stuff can be molded around and everything. ill post a pic of some other color right before i make some

If the foil being thin is a problem Reynolds Wrap makes a heavy duty and an Extra Heavy Aluminum foil

cranky,
I am wondering if you could get a better effect in two dif. ways. One way that I have seen done over the years is to take a simple shad pattern , cut it out of balsa wood, add hooks, then for the colors, take that same foil and press it against something that would give it a pattern. I think if you found a small diamond shape or anything that had a repeative design, you then could press the design into the foil, then glue the foil to each side of the balsa wood , then afterwards coat it with your expoxy glue.
The only variation would be to paint the top and bottom before applying the glue. I've got 3 crankbaits called "wee baits" that are ever so popular on the ohio river, they are homemade, and basically using the method I described. Denny and I have thrown them before up here , its a lightweight lure, I have some that are wide wobble and float up, and others that are sinkers.

jb. i read for a while on crankbait making. then, i went to jannsnetcraft. th wood itself is pretty expensive. and also, the foil cant get rippled at all. but maybe ill try it with different wood. oh wait, dont have a drill

dremel is the way to go.

I made these a month ago for night fishing. But they didn't float correctly.
