I dont have any flush mounted on this one, but its ok as I have heard they get the reels wetter when going over surf, because they are so low... Got her strapped up to the expedition and ready to hit the surf tomorow AM

Really makes no difference whether the reels get wetter, you always give the equipment a solid cleaning after a saltwater trip, so the fact they are getting wetter is really irrelevant. But the PVC is already and place and didnt cost anything so I guess looks can take the back seat in this battle.

I personally have to have everything looking neat and tidy. I cant stand when my stuff isnt just right haha, I think it may be some kind of OCD. But whenever I get enough money saved up to go get a little boat I will be making sure everything it practical as well pretty.

PS: You dont have school tomorrow? And is that tropical depression not going to cause any rain or rough seas for you all? It passed through Florida today, granted its not much of anything anymore but can still produce rain and some wind.

Yes I had school, But I got out at lunchtimeish.. The tropical depression is actually helping us a ton. North winds making the seas flat calm who whole weekend and the storm is diminishing anyways.

Not much but we faired well.
Dad got a 5 pound trout and we had a ton of spanish on flyrods, sunday I hooked up with 8 hammerheads off the end of the jetty-landed 3 biggest 7'4" They were hitting 1 1/2 ounce rattletraps All on Penn 8500ss from the rocks. Probably no pics, mom accidentaly laid the camera on the back on the SUV and closed the back, smashing it I might be able to see if I can get some pics of it.

Haha, no way were those in the kayak! They were off the jetties, these particular ones go 3/4 mile out to sea. They would follow the lure right up to the rocks, then take it and soak you also. First time it happened I sh!t my pants.
