AUSTIN,
Yes, Power Pro works fine on spinning reels. You do not have the infamous "Spinning Reel Loop" that you get with mono! The down side of braid is that it is so light and limp that it is a problem in the wind when using light lures. Also, Power Pro loses it's color and becomes bright white color. I carry a line coloring pen and re-color the last 10 ft of my line frequently. I also use a 5 to 6 ft leader of 15 or 20 lb flurocarbon line.

I have recently switched to Suffix Elite for all of my mono applications and so far I have to say it is the best line I have used. I like it's strength and lack of memory better than any mono I've tried.

yes power pro works great on spinning reals, I prefer using 20lbs test.

If you can find it and afford it, Toray is absolutely fantastic line. Some of the Toray line I still have spooled up are 5 years old and never had a problem with it weakening yet. I bought 4 more spools a few weeks ago. I also liked Jinkai brand line as well. If your on a budget. Ande Back Country line is a great line for the money. P N J

Was wondering about the suffix elite. Since you posted you are using it I got a couple questions for ya. Does it compare to P-Line as far as being as strong and abraision resistant? P-Line has never let me down as far as breaking at the wrong time. You also stated that the line has little or no memory. Would like to hear more comments from ya.

for braid i say sufix performance braid.i used to use powerpro but sufix is better.it's smoother ,tip wraps less and makes less noise.for mono use cajun red.actually right now all my rods have braid on them.i hate alll flouro except as a leader.and where i fish i don't need a leader.

Gamma line is one of the strongest lines out there IMO. It's got good abrasion resistance also. I have used braid on spinning reels before and didn't have any problems. I used 20 lb. but it had the diameter of 8 lb. mono. You will have to be careful though it might try to tangle up on you.

When applying Power Pro to your spinning tackle make sure you have a good mono backing and spool the Power Pro on tightly. Will help more than you may think, but it works very well with spinning tackle. I also suggest 20lb for this application.

I like powerpro for braided, for mono I stick with cajun red, and fluoro is p-line. You'll get a lot of answeres, just try a few brands and see what works.

Another posting Queen, I can't stand these people who get off on how high they can their posting #. This site seems to have it's fair share but most are not stupid enough to admit it.

Sorry, but I hate mono. I see no use for the junk. I use the following.
Crankbaits:12# BPS Flourocarb
Spinnerbaits:20#PowerPro
Plastics/Jigs: 30#PowerPro
Flipping/Pitching:50 and 65#PowerPro
Spinning gear:10 and 15# PowerPro
