Default A-rig---beginning to believe

Pictured below is a 24lb3oz bag caught on Claytor Lake (my home lake) using the A-rig. I have never heard of a limit even close to that here. Claytor is only 4500 acres and heavily pressured due to location (2 great ramps within 5 min. of I-81). I'm ready to try mine out now.

Seems like it's a feast or famine thing when you're fishing that bait. Guys around here knock their lights out one day and can't buy a strike the next with it.

Its a schooler bait to be used when chasing baitfish, not a search bait.
Thus when school is out famine.

That is an awesome stringer when you have to get a third man to help hold your sack!

I bought 2 of these and have yet to use them. My club had its first tourney last sunday and nobody had good luck on them. Crankbaits produced nicely though.

Whenever I hear of success with an Alabama rig, I can help but wonder if those same fish could have been caught by using a single swimbait. I bet in a lot of cases they could.

Backlash, i have fished Claytor and i am here to say that is one of the toughest lakes to fish there is. I know lots of people who are good fishrermen that is brings them to their knees. I know when i tell someone about this i will probably have to pull up this picture and show them. That has got to be the best bag to ever come out of Claytor.

I just don't think I could bring myself to use one.
Especially when hookin more than 1 bass at once could haul my arse across the lake

So John....I may send you an A-Rig, just to see how many pounds of bass you can catch, on a 5 shot.
I put the over/under at 6

Up until recently it was unclear whether an Alabama rig was legal to use in the state of Indiana. So to clear things up an emergency ruling was written that allows the temporary use of the rig, until a more permanent decision can be made about its use.

Here is a link of that emergency ruling.

http://www.bigindianabass.com/big_in...cy-ruling.html

I'm becoming a believer.
