Florida, drawback is that it will probably get even more over-developed soon, so get here fast. Â*Texas is good too especially lake fork. Â*Southern California is also a hot spot for big bass. Â*for small mouth tennessee is an awesome state as well as north alabama. Â*Various lakes in Canada and minnesota as well as lake erie are all bronzeback hotspots.

I have fished every state in the south east and a few in the north. I think the best oveall bassin is in North MS and eastern Ark. The Oxbows are great and the man made lakes a re great also. The average size bass is vetry good. You wont catch the 10's often like you do in S Fla or West texas but tthe over all catch rate is very good. I fish eas Tennessee all the tiome. The fishing by most standards is great but not as good as Sardis or Tunica Cutoff. Also the oxbows on the White River are very good. I like Indian Bayin Ark. In the old days I usedto go to Toleado bend and catch a 100 per day but not with the average size of the mid south lakes. Fish2win

That white river in ark is supposed to be the best fishing in the usa..although texas and fla are up there to
As far as natural lakes, I think the great lakes are the only natural ones that I know of in ohio, st. marys was dug out by mexican tomatoe workers, indian lake is just a dammed up creek like most others here, rocky fork, paint creek, and really almost everyone I can think of..
The need for controlling water is how most lakes in the south like dale hollow and others became to be..I am not sure if ky, lake is all natural too..
Years ago the ohio river would get so low that it would look like puddle to puddle in some areas, the locks that were built server to maintain a water depth for commercial barges ..I am sure most lakes get dredged out frequently, at least its a common theme here in ohio... 8)

Nope, that is correct. Caddo Lake in East Texas is the only natural lake. Every other lake was created by a dam. But we have some awesome fishing created by those dams-Fork, Toledo Bend, Choke Canyon, Amistad, Sam Rayburn just to name a few-take your pick.

Now lets not forget Lake Allen Henry here in West Texas. One of the best bass lakes in Texas. Already 15 13+ pounders this year! Come visit, you wont be disapointed. Lubbock has many other things to offer as well. Good luck whereever you go and stay cool.

Like flooding when it rains, dust storms when it doesn't, nothing to slow down the wind, and a view of red dirt as far as the eye can see. But the girls in that neck of the woods are nice to look at, but let's not mention that to my wife...

WHEREVER THEY ARE

1. Depends on type of bass
2. Depends on what kinds of conditions you prefer

Seriously, if you hate 100 degree weather and hurricanes and want smallmouth, then try up here in New England.

If you hate ice fishing during winter months, then stay away because we don't want you here either! ;D

if you going trophy hunting for big largemouths, then san diego area of cali is your best bet, if you want numbers of decent fish then florida is where its at

Now, I may just be partial to Pittsburgh's Three Rivers because I'm a local, but I'd put the northern rivers over the mid-south anyday for smallmouth. It will be very interesting to see what they pull out this year in the Bassmasters Classic. Here's an FYI for y'all. Bassmasters asked if they'll need to stock the river for the tournment they were laughed at by the local Game Commish. He told them "If they can't catch bass in these rivers, then there's something wrong with the way they fish". So as you're watching it, remember everything they're pulling out is native to these waters. Hopefully this event will make up some peoples minds on bass fishing the North.
