Just wanted to Introduce myself.
I'm a newbie to the forums, But i think i have found my Home away from Home or,..... The lake.
Awesome Site, Great informational videos, (Kudos to the jig video, That was filled with Very informative material) I fish spring-summer-fall, In the Midwest area, Aurora Illinois to be exact, Small subdivision ponds, or Private small lakes is what i target most up here, And...I Only use artificial baits. Alright...Thats enough, I'm going to start posting. |

Welcome, I am rather new my self. I have found this site to be great for information. I was just surfing the net trying to find all the information I could about bass fishing when I found this site. I would like to fish some tourny here and there this coming year, but the more I research and watch the Bass master elite TV shows weekly and all the rest I find KVD don't just bank fish. So I have started trying to read contour and pick up on what baits for time of the year, fish patterns, what bait to use etc. and this site is great.
So many old post on information I just have not had time to get to them. I finially get to start driving again tomorrow after my third surgery this year and I am stare crazy. I can't throw fishing baits till I go to Doc on the 6th of Jan. Hopefully I will get released to go back to work and I can get back to a routine. Being house bound is the only reason I have spent this much time typing cuzz I am way to slow and bad speller to bang away much. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have. I am going to just keep on learning and then with gas down right now I am going to try to spend time on the water learning the feel neccessary to cut down on the misses. I have aleady talked to a couple firefighters that when they were off for surgeries and fished every day they said they got pretty good on the timing of setting the hook and they said after they went back to work and got to fish every now and then they lost the feel and their % of hook ups went down more then they would have thought. One thing I have read several places nothing replaces TIME on the water. Sounds a hole lot like playing golf from my experiences with my two knee replacements in 2006. I was playing everyday and that short game got good enough my buddies sarted saying you got to go back to work, but I had to tell them they want let me for another month with each of the knee replacements. I just got the bug to start bass fishing this year after I got banged up from a rearend coming home from the fire station and knew this was going to be an off year for golf. I am hooked now on bass fishing, at least fo a while. I got to use the Ranger boat some I got for Fathers Day. Never had this big of a boat, man is it nice. Now if the guy in it can just learn to put bass in the boat on the clear water lakes. A lot different from just picthing big spiders around cypress trees in muddy resivior water like I did in the 80's when I did bass fish a lot for a few years till the kids came along and I started working two and three jobs at a time for almost 20 years. Last one a senior in College, time to fish, hunt and play golf instead of work all the time I hope. Stay together US $$$$ and don't fall apart now. Welcome to the site again. 3:30 am sleep screwed up I should be getting ready to head duck hunting somewhere but not with this sore spine after civical stenosis surgery a couple weeks ago. I hope I don't get rear ended again.
