I lived in tuscaloosa last year.

Out towards lake lurleen off 82 there is a place called Eldridge lake, its a pay lake with about 20 scattered old jon boats on the ground run by an older lady. I always figured they had far more boats out there than they would ever use, you might try riding out and making them an offer for one. A few leak but that can be fixed.

Also try contacting local marinas. I got a 28 horse motor at hideway harbor last year for a steal. Theres also north river marina and l&l in northport. Also check a website called "the classitides". Click the link. There are a couple you should call.

Have you called some of those numbers on classitides?

OK, to get to Elledge lake from say Northport take US 82 west, past Walmart. Go a couple miles past wallmart and look for a road to the right with a little yellow sign that says elledge lake: good fishing. Go up that road for maybe a couple miles and it will be a dirt road to you left with another sign. Go down the dirt road and you will come to their place, lots of junk cars and roosters and old jon boats laying around. Its about $3 to fish, somethin like that. I have never cuaght anything big out of there, a guy I worked with claimed he had seen 16 pound bass coming out of there but given how rare a 16 pounder is anyway I just sorta let him talk and kindly didnt call him a liar.
