Default Senko Line

I am going to fish senkos alot tomorrow, here's why:

Went out Sunday, heres the results:
Fish 1: 16inches
Fish 2: 17.5 inches
Fish 3: 12.75 inches
Fish 4: 21 inches
Fish 5: 22.5 inches
Fish 6: 20.25 inches
Fish 7: 18 inches
Fish 8: 22 inches

Heres my question: what line do you prefer for Senko (or other senko type baits)... (pound, and braid or mono)

Thanks

Ryan

I perfer mono, about 10 or 12 pound test in clear/blue so I can see the bite before I feel it. I use a 7ft med/hvy rod. If you get a chance, try the Kicker Fish "Shad Stick".

I use P-line fluorocarbon. Its some great stuff and when I use a senko I'm going for more of a finnesse technique and it works well b/c the line is invisible.

Thumbs up

That's a great outing, looks like a five-bass sack of about 25#.

I've used 10# mono and 14# Fireline.

50 lb sufix braid.i feel you gut hook less fish with braid because of the increased sensitivity.if you want low visibilty tie a leader of flouro on it.

I use betweenh 8 and 12 lb. XPS or Seaguar fluorocarbon. It sinks a little which I like and it's a sensitive line which you need when fishing senkos.

I do what dodge guy does, not only that but it saves braid which is expensive. Just use a uni-Uni knot or the surgeons knot.

12 lb mono....i hate using anything heavier for bass. 8 lb also works for me. For the brand, Suffix Elite is amazing.
