Default 10 inch worm

At nearby Lake Monroe the 10 inch worm has always produced fish...Any one out there stock that size and use it?
I am sure the southern anglers use it

Yep-especially this time of the year. I love throwing them along the edge of a weedbed.

I use the Charlies 10 inchers in the purple and also red shad. So buy to the little fishes, cause you won't catch as many runts on them big worms.

I throw 10 and 12 in. worms more than I do 7in. worms. I catch a lot of bass that don't measure on them.

A 10" Tequila Shad works wonders on a C-Rig when the temps rise in NC, and the bass go deep. I have caught all sizes on these, from 10" bass, (no lie), to the big 6-7-8-9 lbers. The bass don't care the size of the worm, just if it looks good, and is presented well. Use it. Tight lines

JB,

Â* Â* I generally start with 7 inch worms and try to get a limit, then go to bigger baits like 10, 11 & 12 inch worms or 5 inch Mad Man craws to try for a kicker fish. If no biters within about an hour, I will go back to the 7 inch offering, a Senko or a trick worm.

C'mon, Mann's 10" Jelly worm in scuppernog!!!!! How can anyone not have these in their tacklebox??? Actually I use black or purple. I also really like Case's 7/11 worm in Green Pumpkin. Both have a different tail than the picture posted by jglass but they're great worms.

Ya sneaked one past me I must not have been paying attention. I may have gotten this one confused with Piggy2's post about big worms on Smith Mt. I posted about a new worm I saw last weekend called a "Fat Bottom Girl". It's close to 12" and it's a ribbontail but the tail floats. Don't know if there are any more quite like it being made.

The 10 inch worm works very well up north. I enjoy throwing a black one at night.

You should be able to get them at Cabela's. I belive Cabela's has the Powerbait 10" power worm, the Zoom Ol Monster, and I know for sure, they have the YUM 10" ribbon tail.

Tackle Warehouse, Cabela's, Bass Pro. Anywhere thy sell ZOOM, Mann's, Berkley, etc.

In terms of brand and model, you could try the Mann's Hardnose 10" Worm, ZOOM Ole Monster, Berkley Turtle Back Worm, 10".

I get most of mine at BPS and Gene Larew here in Oklahoma. While I like Culprit 10", I catch more fish on Gene Larew 11". I don't use anything smaller than 10"
