Default Front DF Question.

I was thinking, we have the transdeuce mounted on the bottom fo the trolling motor. This will screw up the depth on the front DF won't it? Is this a big deal or is the front DF just for looking for fishies.

Thanks,

BB

depht finders are good for fish, stumps, channels and other debris all over the bottom. and it won't mess with the depht in front.

Whats the question again?

You will have to subtract 8"-12" in your mind from the depth readings, but thats not a big deal.

Or all of them that I have had have a setting for the depth offset, if you really want it to be perfect.

Most depth finders on the front will be used to keep you on track when structure fishing. After you find your point to fish, it will be used to stay on location. If it's mounted correctly, you won't have a problem with interference. I mean, there are even ones mounted the transom next to 250 HP engines, and they still work!
