Homemade Crankbaits with pics
I made these this week in my shop. Gonna throw them this week and see how they run. They aren't perfect by any means, but I've had good success on previous versions. Please forgive my bad pictures.

Those look great pal. I'd love to be able to be ther when you try them out just to see the action you get with them in the water. Nice work!

Those look really good. It might be better to leave out the eyes, so your crankbait won't get scared when the bass chase it down and hammer it.

How hard is it to make somethin like that? Not the paint, but actually getting the components (lip, split rings, etc) and then the carving. Dremmel? I want to start making some. Yours look awesome by the way.

Aiken, I use a bandsaw to cut the profile out and then use the dremel tool to start shaping the edges. I then use a coarse sand paper and to get the bait down to the profile I want. Next I use med. and fine sandpaper to get the bait smooth. Most of my parts come from janns netcraft. I also make wire through baits that take much more time. Good luck and let me know if you want to try it out. DKeys
