Default Docks??

What are the best things to use around docks, or what you like to use best??

Depending on the structure around the dock dictates what I use as well as the clarity of the water. When the dock is sitting in stained water and has hard cover available I will use just about anything depending on the time of day. As the sun gets higher I will switch to jigs and plasctics. If the water is clearer I will try finesse worms. Try and throw as far under the dock as possible. A crank run down the side can produce when they are chasing bait. Topwaters in the morn will get bit as well as spinners. Use your imagination you cant go wrong.

pitching a tube or toad under the dock is a really effective way, especially when you skip it in.

A spinnerbait is probably my favorite. A jig and tube are good ones also.

horny toads are nice. You can skip them all the way to shore under the dock and bring them out.

I'd use a tube and it may seem weird but a mister twister curly tail grub on a leadhead works well for me although it catches rock bass as well.

well KVD likes to match the color of the lake bottom with the same color for his lures. most of the forage will camoflage itself with a similar color to the bottom.

if u can fish on a older dock because the wood gives off somesort of heat or something the fish like. I like to throw a sweetbeaver around the docks. last time i did it i landed a 5.4lber. also try a dark colord jig and a x-rap
