Thanks, one thing I regret now is not throwing some sort of topwater popper up into the creek and bring it down in to the lake, the bass were still biting when I left. I know I would have caught a couple more, but it was still fun!

The lake has no official name and it is hidden way back in the woods in Memphis. The only way you can get to it is with a 4x4, and it's a sweet place to fish because it is so hard to get to, and no one ever fishes it. My fishing buddy and I know about several hidden locations that we find on Google Earth satellite images, and lakes we discovered when we were teenagers walking through the woods having fun. I mean untouched lakes! It's sad to say the reason I know they are untouched is because they have no fisherman's litter on them. As far as fall bassing they were really slamming the spinnerbait, I caught a few dinks to go along with those nice ones on spinnerbaits. Every time they stop hitting one lure I would put on something different and blam another bass! I can't wait until next weekend, hopefully the weather won't get to funky.

Nice bass. It cool that you can find an untouched lake in Shelby County as developed as it is. Must be in the northern part of the county near Shelby Forrest. Some of those trees in the background kind of look like what you see around the oxbows. Do you every fish down around Mud lake The other oxbow that you can reach from it. I think the other one is called Moon.Just curious. Fish2win

If you are thinking of moving to the U.S. I highly suggest somewhere near Pickwick Lake/Tennessee River here in Tennessee. It only gets really cold here for about 1 month of the year, sometimes Christmas is t-shirt weather! None of the lakes here freeze over and there is always year round fishing for something. I'll be Bass fishing this weekend, the temperature outside will be 75 degrees........think about that!

Well I made a determination after LONG AND CAREFUL consideration, that I will be either in South Carolina OR Central/Northern Florida. Now if something would change, I would say anywhere from Tennessee south would be good, except I dislike California for a lot of reasons.
