Unhappy Sad passing of an industry hallmark

Doug Hannon.

http://www.wired2fish.com/legendary-...-passes-p18084

All kidding aside, he was a GREAT OUTDOORSMAN!
Great naturalist and LOVED our sport.

Met him awhile back and he was a TRUE GENTLEMAN.

Our sport suffered a great loss!

I didn't know that, Joe-thanks for the info. He sure knew how to catch the bigguns. The Bass Professor will be missed.

doug loved bass fishing, and he passed a lot of his knowledge and experiences along. i am not too far off from doug's age, and it makes me very thankful for all my blessings, and still get to be here.

sad to read this. i have a DOUG HANNON foot control trolling motor, 34# thrust that i am about to put on the market. it is old, but still works like a charm. all it needs is a prop and plug.

Ya I think most forget that Doug came up with the weedless trolling prop
concept.
That was like 40 years ago.

Making him like 26 yrs old when HE came out to the fishing masses with it.
Great Man in my eyes!
