Default Fish finder

I bought a used Xpress this week (finally got me a bass boat, woohoo!!) and the depth finder was pretty much shot. It was and older lowerance unit. I'd like to get something that has GPS along with the depth and fish finder. For now I'm just gonna get a console unit, but I do plan on adding a bow unit later. I have never used electronics before for fishing so I'm tottally lost in this area and looking for some direction and advice. My budget is about $800, so there are quite a few options available. I just have no idea what's the best bang for my buck and don't want to get stuck with something I'm gonna be unhappy with, or find out late there was something better I could've gotten in it's place. I have no brand loyalty as I haven't owned or ever used them in the past. So, hit me up with some great advice please. Thanks!
