Default "It's not going to snow...."

That's what people were saying yesterday. By 9PM it had started. By 6AM I had 3-4 inches of heavy snow on my deck. Left for Station 1 at 10AM and slid down the street in 5-6 inches. We had a little break but more is coming....

20" South west of Culpepper, VA. Too warm here and turned to rain. Really heavy snow so it compressed and only got 5-6". Thought we'd get more. Oh well. Slow day at the Station which is a good thing.

Got a little snow here today as well, should be melting pretty good soon though. Highs around 40 the rest of the week and rain on the way!

According to our forecast, we were supposed to get (and I quote) "zero to eight inches."

Yes, they've done a great job of narrowing down their predictions this winter. From the 2-12 we were supposed to get in our first "storm" to this now supposedly 0-8". We got none by the way, not a flake. The sooner it warms up the better, I've already checked how much ice is left like 3 times.

We had just the opposite - IT'S GONNA SNOW! "MONSTER STORM!" I even got the snowblower out. WE GOT NADA. One of the local weather persons, even went on her facebook page and appologized for missing it so badly, of course it really wasn't her fault, all the models said it would happen - Just goes to show weatherpeople should not listen to Victoria's Secret people...

With the storm that tore through our area Tuesday, we ended up with 12.5 inches of the white stuff. But we are supposed to be near 50 sat and sunday with heavy rain. That should create a nice mess! But it should also help melt this lake ice and give us more open water.

When will the weather people realize that the computer models they use aren't 100% accurate? The guy on the WC was amazed that DC got flurries and it all melted but 45 miles away they got 12" of snow. All the models had 5-12" predicted for DC. I guess the models didn't predict that or the odds weren't high enough that they would use it. They are wrong so often people don't pay attention or don't believe them anymore like the person I quoted to begin this thread.
