Default "Dirty" Little Secret

Hey guys, I have a fairly large,502 acre, lake by us that is very muddy with about 8" visibility. The weather around here has been 30's at night and 40-50's during the day. I plan to fish this lake this weekend. Any tips on baits, lures, colors, presentations, fishing depths, etc. By the way, thus lake is fairly shallow, mostly 0-15 foot with a 28 foot deep hole. Any tips will be highly appreciated.

502 acres is huge

look for any sunny bank with wood on it, the fish will be hugging wood to warm up after these chilly nites.

Well, JB, I know of one area, at about 9:00AM it should sun up. It starts in about 3" of water and ends in about 3 feet. Although, this "tree", per se, is very sparse, about 25 feet long with about 4 branches coming off of it. What sould I use to fish it? Jig, maybe? Texas Rig, weighhtless or lightly weighted?

Jig, for sure. Possibly throw a real pork trailer on there and fish the tree hard. I'd suggest braid, because in order to really maximize your chances of catching a hawg you need to get the jig in every possible part of the tree, even where you think you shouldnt throw it. Let the sun hit the area for a bit before fishing it, let the tree and water around warm up.

Good luck.

Thanks 02, I think I'm going to try my 1/2 ounce Black Flippin' Jig made by Haug Haulers. Since I have noe real pork, I will try the Paca Craw 2". Thanks.

Well boys, sad to say it did NOT sun up today, and I did NOT get to fish the "Sunny Log". Also, we got snowed and sleeted on with about 35 as the high.
