Default Seaguar or Sunline

Which fluorocarbon line do you have experience with, and which do you think is better of the two... thanks

I haven't used any Sunline FCs, but I use Seaguar InvisX and LOVE it. I probably won't use any other fluorocarbons now. The Seaguar is cheaper I believe, and easier to find locally (cause I don't order online too much).

I've only used seaguar out of the two and it is my favorite fluoro.

Only tried the Seguar and prefer Trilene 100% fluorocarbon when I use fluoro.

I use InvizX and FC Sniper. I think that the InvizX is maybe a touch softer but the Sniper is pretty good too and it is tougher than nails. Maybe the InvizX casts a little better but it is hard to say.

Haven't tried any of the Sunline products. I really like the Seaguar InvizX and use it on my light spinning setups, usually 8-10 lb test. For the heavier baitcasting gear I prefer BPS Fluorocarbon.

I am in the same boat as most of the other guys here. I have only used Seaguar and if it ever gives me a reason to switch I will be going to Sunline. However Seaguar hasn't let me down yet so it looks like I may never get around to trying Sunline. I really like InvizX but lately I have been using AbrazX and think that I like it even better because it handles just about as good and it is a lot tougher.

I have tried Sunline mono and wasn't impressed in the least.

Here's the problem(s) with flouro: If you get a little kink or a minor backlash and the line is bent, it may very well break at that point which is not near as likely with mono. All flourocarbon I've tried has way more memory than mono or braid. Also, if you need to "float" a bait to a fish or fish higher in the water column, flouro may not be the way to go. It sinks like a rock. My partner and I won a tournament and the big bass pot recently and he caught every one of our keepers on mono while I zeroed on fluorocarbon. I was fishing under the fish. Fluorocarbon has its place but it's not the be all, end all that alot of the posters on this board would lead you to believe. I took all my Seaguar Invisix off and replaced it with Mono recently in the form of Big Game (my old stand by) and Suffix Elite (which I'm beginning to like more and more).

On the other hand, I won a tournament this early Spring when the water was really cold dead sticking a Senko in high winds. My partner couldn't keep it on the bottom with his mono but I could. Fluorocarbon has its place but it ain't better than mono or braid------just different.
