Years fishing

I was just wondering, how many of you all are new to fishing and how many have been doing it for years. I have been involved for the last 18 years and really into it for about the last 5 or so.

I've been fishing for probably 40 years but really into bass fishing for 25. That probably accounts for all the fishing stuff in the garage.

My Grandpa dug ditches and ponds for a living. After he was done he sold them the fish to stock the ponds he had just dug. He had seven ponds on his property that we would catch the fish out of to stock other peoples ponds. My grandpa didn't believe in nets, so every fish caught to be stocked somewhere else was caught by hook and line. Thus, anytime there was an order for fish it was a family affair that we would all go out fishing to fill the order. So, as soon as I could hold a pole I was fishing.

Been bas fishing a bit less than 11 months. I got into tournament fishing about 5 months ago.

been fishing for about 27 years . got into bass fishing late about 12 years ago.-did not even own bait caster till about 8 years ago. then i got hired on to a place were fishing is the topic of every conversation. almost like it was it's own religon. this group of co workers are happy to take a-then - long haired yankee fishing to teach him-me-bass fishing north carolina style. i have learned well.

Been trout fishing 25 yrs, I have been tournament Bass fishing 14 years now.The years of ice fishing and perch fishing was just good entertainment, no seriousness involved in it. ;D P N J
