I am glad you asked, because there are a few members here that are on the new pro staff & field testing for the improving whiz- Bang lure company. The Whiz- Bang lure company has seen a new market for the rising interest in fishing, directed towards knockoff baits of the Sweet Beaver, Tiki Sticks.... I am particularly excited about a creature bait that I dreamed up some time ago. The Pteradactyl JackL baits Â*consisting of three different size winged baits that glide over weedbeds with ease with little hang ups. I think they are going to be very popular, but they due not last long do to the air formula to make them suspend in the water colum.Be sure to try the new Hawg Stopper jig line and of course the hottest thing on the water for smallmouth and pitching & flipping, the whisker biscuit (sweet Beaver type bait )in 3 different sizes as well. The limp dogs are a senko type bait simaular to the Bamboo stick, but different because of its design emits vibration to the bass's lateral lines, so they are effective in stained water as well as night.Well enough rambling, you will see them on the market in the near future. whiz bang is just a conjured up fishing story...........its supposedly the best lure in the world that can do everything, including chasing down the fish before hooking it.

The original whiz- Bang lure caught everything that swam, they outlawed them from tournament fishing when they went to the livewells keeping your fish alive. The bass sat in the livewell listening to you fish the whiz-Bang lure all day, when you opened the livewell ,they would be all foaming at the mouth, biting at anything that moved ,looking like they had rabies or something. They thought it would scare common folk as they went to watch the weigh in. P N J

A olive drab colored version was built & supplied for the military survival packs, if they were stranded, they could find a body of water and catch whatever fish species it held until they were rescued. It seems to be a well kept military secret, the discovery channel should do a show on it or something. :-X P N J

There has been many reports of UFO'S abducting fisherman for the Whiz- Bang lures. There must be another planet with water on it out there somewhere. p n j

The original Whiz-Bang lure may have been fished in the Nile River. The first introduction of the Whiz-Bang may have been found in hieroglyphics of the Egyptians. P N J

They never produced a flipping Whiz-Bang lure as planned when Dee Thomas invented the art of flipping.Since they could not get the Whiz-Bang lure to work properly while being flipped instead of the way it was normally fished, There was unconfirmed alegations that the Whiz-Bang lure company greased the palm of the officials to ban Dee Thomas's Â*flipping stick from tournament competition. Apparently they didn't think he could flip with a shorter rod, but he could. The original Dee Thomas signature flipping sticks never became famous as they could have been if they weren't banned from tournament use. P N J

They spent alot of hours, trying to produce a mini scale size Whiz-Bang lure for the Barbie Doll series. The problem was when they tested the minature lure , it caught big fish. To put such a weapon in the hands of a women as a toy would be devastating if one of the girls actually fished it as a lure instead of a toy.Fishing could have been a girls night out instead of a Mans sport. All minature models were destroyed before marketed. Barbie had to find some other accessories other than the Whiz-Bang lure. :P P N J

A survey from the early 1950's Christmas wish lists had Whiz-Bang lures #1 on the fishermans list than any other item made.

All Whiz-Bang lures were banned from college dorm rooms when someone discovered that they could fill the Whiz-Bang lure with Marijuana and smoke it. There were no reports of anyone inhaling as they smoked the marijuana through the Whiz-Bang lure.

they were very popular way back....then as time grew on, the whiz bang eventually fell of the face of modern day fishing........years went by, with only very respectable fishermen carrying the infamous whiz bang. eventually with the growing demand for new lures, the whiz bang reappeared to mosts surprised....the first confirmed fish caught off a new whiz bang was in the heartland of bama...........then as word spread of how the new whiz bang could still produce, the market skyrocketed.....everyone and their mother had one, even people who didnt fish had one...........then the company started picking certain ''feild testers'' for the new line of chrome plated whiz bangs, then the whiz el bang, red, white, and whiz bang.....all came out in 2000, then in 2001-2004 the nighthawk, nightstalker, dark avenger, bass seeker, and the infamous glow bang came out to only certain people......all targeted for night fishing..........after more and more of this lure scattered into foriegn countries....rumors started of how the whiz bang company may sell the whiz bang and all its by products to a japan tackle company........after realizing that move would be the down fall of the whiz bang, they cancelled the proposition and began making more and more secret whiz bangs............they have a new classified bang that should be coming out next month........

Do they still produce the Bubble Gum color ?
Had one when I was younger, but lost my rod & reel to a fish while using the Whiz Bang.
Sure would like to find another.
These baits are absolutely unbelievable.
