Default In line spinners

They most certainly still work.I was fishing a small lake with water temps 48-50.Caught 20 bass and missed a bunch and dropped a few all on in-line spinners. Also got 30+ crappie.I did get one bass on a watermelon jig.
There's a lot of weeds in this lake.I'd cast as far as I could, let the bait fall(sometimes they hit on the fall) then reel slowly just ticking the tops of the weeds.Water depth was 2ft to 6 ft.

Actually, one of my favorite lures for fishing after dusk is a Mapps #2 or #3 Aglia spinner in silver with a squirrel tailed hook. As long as your not fishing around brush and heavy weeds, it's a great lure which has been forgotten by many. A #5 white and silver Aglia Mepps spinner is still one of my favorites for both bass and pike.

I have a small box with 5 #3 Mepps in-line spinners, but rarely use them. Up here they're Pickerel magnets, so I tend not to tie one on.
