Fish just a little deeper from where you are getting the smaller ones or maybe the big females have not moved onto the nests yet

fishie, im sure they have moved unto the nests by now...not many oplaces havnt.....there is no way they could still be in pre spawn.....so he is most likely facing post spawn conditions. so deep structure/cover near spawning flats is where i would fish.

I'd sneak out of the house about 4 a.m. and fish till about 7 with live bait if you want the big one...
Your chances for a big fish may improve in low light conditions....only one way to find out isn't there......

P man, Just keep at it, like Jb said, fish early and late in the days, and on overcast or rainy days, high wind days, the bass will move shallower than normal. I hope this helps.P N J

do you use the standup jig with any of your favs?

I am thinking of several dif ways to rig up that Yum

Crawbug,
