Forum Tournament?

Anyone ever suggest a little friendly competition between all of us? Say a tournament for one day only, honor system on reporting how they did and weight....
or even have a tournie that you can only use particular baits?
I know that last part sounds odd, but look at what we could all learn if we were forced to use a tikki stick, or a particular crank bait, top water etc...just to compare notes , help guys that haven't used that bait , kinda after the fact info for next time.
And of course ......for braggin rights!

Sounds like a good idea but I will get skunked by some on here and besides I dont think my parents want to drive me to another state to go fishing with people I have never met in person before........................ Still a good idea

Naw, on this one you can fish your fav local pond, lake , river..
I know some regions have bigger fish, but I still think It would be fun, and you always learn something from others IF the conditions are similiar

Oh ok so you like keep a log of how many fish you caught and how much it weighed and what time you caught it and what you caught it on and post the results......................... Sounds good to me

??? ??? ??? ???If its going to be next week I cant be in it cause hurricane Denis is suppose to be coming strait at us............ and even if it dont I will be playing in a ball tournament................ the only time I can be in it if it is next weekend

We can figure out a day that works for all, when the weather is ok with everyone, and it will have to be our word against the other, heck theres no need to cheat, tell about how you got the fish, and how your lost the ones that didnt make it in lol
Someone that has never fished a tournie and wants a game plan just may learn something.
For instance , let say this sunday for 4 hours, any four that works for you.. you report back what you caught, did you have a pattern figured out...what depth, lure, lure color , and what time they bite..all info that is usually shared at weigh ins ...
I think it would benefit alot of guys that fish and want to get into tournaments , but still need to learn the basics on making a game plan.
Its not so much about who can bring in the biggest fish, because you may have guys that are fishing fla, texas , or cali, where lets face it, the chances of getting a 5 lb bass are about as easy as getting a 2 lb bass up north..
Plus ya never know who may surprise ya, just think if you beat all of us seasoned guys, what a boost of confidence it can be in your angling career...

Not a bad idea, JB. I'd have two categories, though: Ponds and Lakes. It is a lot easier to find and catch bass in a 2 acre tank than it is a 20,000 acre lake.

Yea, the only problem is there a few guys on here who have places that are aces in the hole - Lizards and his coal pit, I have a hell of a smallie stream that would probably put me close to the top on any day - Tom has his spots and so does Zook. But we could try it for kicks sometime.

I got about a 10 acre pond that could put me about midways................ I havent caught nothing real big just some nice spotts and a few good largemouth.......

Oh man,you can count me in on this one. Should a picture prove it? and have the bass in one hand and a code word written on a peice of paper in the other,held up in the picture? The word to be posted right before the tourney.

Good idea how about we can go fishing anytime in the week and you post em up during the week when you are confident in your fish. That way we dont have to do a mass shceduling thing , just a thought. Im in any way you plan it if its a day I can fish.

haha yeah i think that the tournament wuld b great cuz ive really never been in a tournament ive never had tha time but id like to learn more stuff and this wuld be a great way to learn more stuff like gameplans and what works good...im in...im goin tommorrow would that b ok with the sched. thing?

What an amazing Idea, the kayak fisher is in. One problem is the picture...when I catch them, I am going to need to know how to post a pic. We'll figure it it. Are we going to do it for a week...a day...let me know.
