Default Abu Garcia Vendetta?

Anyone use one of these yet? The tackle tour forums are raving about them! Some are saying it's as sensitive as a steez rod! I've also yet to hear anything bad about the casting models (some not so good for the spinning rod though). This thing really sounds like a SICK rod! How about y'all though?

I defiantly see a 6'9" MH casting rod in the near future!

My dad's current rod build was inspired after the Vendetta...I havent swung one yet,but for the price, thats a sweet looking rod...Im hoping more companies will start offering EVA grips on bass rods...

I am looking forward to these popping up in Dick's and Gander, so I can actually hold one to judge it. It sounds like a nice rod. I am not one for blind brand loyalty, but I have to admit, I have never had a bad experience with any Abu-Garcia product.

I really don't think you have to worry about handling one first! They're I think 4oz rods, and they're balanced with the average reel weight 8.8 -8.6 oz. And lighter reels (like the premier) are said to still have very good balance!! But I'd defiantly like to handle them too!

They have them at my local tackle shop (for now) but my family has had a really busy week, and I haven't seen em yet. But a friend felt them and he said they felt real good, I will tell you when I do.

bassboss, on feeling them before buying them. IMO, this applies to all rods and I would NEVER buy rod without holding one in person first.

I wouldn't say never...depends on the price (getting a $140 rod for $40 for instance)...but I would say very rarely.

Looked at them today while out at the tackle shop... while I am not a big fan of EVA foam grips, they were very light, and well built rods. The 6'9" MH Casting Rod felt really good with a reel on it...

Cool guys! Thanks fer the replies!

I hope I do get to hold them before I buy them though. My gander SUCKS about getting new stuff! About a week ago, I called the head of the fished department, and asked if they had the new rage tail stuff, he didn't even know about them?!?

you guys are lucky. Such rods will never show up in the Pacific NW. The vendettas look good no doubt, but the bait monkey keeps pointing me toward the Damikis. They look so awesome and this is coming from someone who normally choose function over style.

BTW, I have been ignoring that simian.

The Vendetta looks nice but does it have the spunk to back up the looks?

Default Abu Garcia Vendetta rod

Have one and I love it. Mine is 6'3" and is use it mainly for worms. It is very balanced with my Pfluger reel. It's the first rod I've used that didn't have cork handles and I find them to be very good and comfortable.

I have a couple of the 7ft rods, they feel just a little stiffer than advertised to me. I have a SX on one and a STX on the other. I tried a premier on one and did not like it as well. I am not sure what they weight, but I think I am going to take the reel off and put it on the fish scale to find out. Will post results

Cool, a pretty heavy rod, but since it's balanced very well, I guess that makes up for the weight. Thanks... a little late.. but thanks!

I just got 4 of them. Two 7' Med and two 7'3" MH. Put my two Curado's on the first two and have two more Curado's coming for the other two.
Haven't fished with them yet but they feel good with the reel on them. But really all rods don't feel too good till they have FISH on the line!!!

I have three of them. I love the feel of them i have the best balance with my pro qualifier on it at 8.8oz. They are more stiff then advertised so order one action lower IMO.

My friend has one and it feels great with a Pro Qualifier reel on it (same reel as mine). I think I see a new spinnerbait rod this year!

If anyone is wanting a Revo STX (199.95), or SX (169.95), you can get a free Vendetta VTC66 rod at Jannsnetcraft.com. Plus the Wiley X glasses

Hey bro, Let me know what you wish to find out bout them. I am sharing a cabin with Steve Parks (aka Big-O and inventor of Rage Tail baits) on a fishing trip beginning of May. I'll be happy to ask him what ever you wish.

Mallen....I see the free sunglasses (well, after $12 S&H...not completely free), but I see no mention of the free Vendetta with the Revo purchase.
