Biggest I have ever caught was 4 pounds. Caught him one night while in school. I was in between finals and went fishing between tests to kill some time. The time was about 6:45 in the evening. Caught him on a buzzbait. Have already posted one pic here, but here is another one.

The biggest one I've ever caught was eight pounds, and seven ounces. Caught it February 22, 1985, on a spinnerbait, (blue/chartruse with a copper blade) in the "Barge Pits" on the James River near Richmond, Virginia. I've come close a number of times since then, but never been able to break the eight pound barrier again. Never did it before then either.

My biggest is 7 pounds 4 ounces, caught her out of a abandon limestone quarry in February. The water was crystal clear and I was fishing where the water went from 4' to at least 20'(far as i could see). Pretty cool, she hit a thunderstick about 35'-40' out - in the middle of a pause she came within a foot of the bait and stopped, I twitched it and she smoked it Awesome site! After I caught that one, the air temp dropped about 10 degrees and I couldn't buy a strike. I guess if your gonna catch one, that'd be the one to catch!

I've never had a five-pounder, although some years back I had one on for at least five minutes that I'm pretty sure was in the five or six range.

A couple of months ago I was unmercifully tantalized when I caught one that sent the scale to 4-15.

Right at 8. I was fishing in a farm pond back in November of 1999, it was almost dark and I caught it literally on the last cast-even if I had no hit it was the last cast. I only took one rod and no tacklebox-just the bleeding shad colored spinnerbait with a big, single Colorado blade tied on that rod. Nice way to end the day, that's for sure ;D!

biggest one was 10 lbs 1ounce caught him on a blue/black zipper type bait in about 3-4' of water under some lily pads. i was amazed when i pulled it in but i released it to swim again. since then ive never caught one over 6 lbs must have been beginers luck because ive casted to the same place with a million different baits.

5lb'er

He was my first and largest bass... (so far)
caught him fishing like a fool with my 7 foot saltwater
combo, with 17lb test line, and a 1oz green & orange
rooster tail, blindcasting out to random spots in the open water. I didn't know much about bass fishing, but after that bass, it never left my mind for a day

I've had two big bass that were probably about the same weight, 7-8lbs. Â*One I caught last sunday on a t-rigged culprit red shad worm on a golf course pond. Â*The other one was the exact same except on a different golf course pond, both of them fought like heck.

Largest was 11.5# caught in a small creek that runs into brackish water. She had a belly full of eggs and was put back immediately, that was over 12 years ago. Never had one that big again.

Thats a HUGE bass for jersey.

Don't worry, I'll beat that 14 1/2 bass when I fish at the Butler chain in two weeks.

12lbs 4oz. is the weight I have yet to beat. I have caught two fish that weighed 12.4, lol. Both were released to swim another day. I don't have any use for a dead fish on my wall to collect dust. I have pics and thats enough.
