As have I.

its the sudden drop of the trap that gets their attention, ya can burn it across weeds, then stop for a second and continue, they often hit it on the drop

Scrap, there really isn't a secret to them. They are known as idiot baits for a reason-you just chunk and wind. Get you a 1/2 oz. chrome with a blue back or smokey joe color and start chunking it-you WILL eventually get bit.

If ya'll think that the Rat-l-trap is great, try an LV Series.
You will out fish all Rat-l-traps. At least thats what I've seen. (more than once)
Yes Yozori does make a fine bait. Have used the Drum many times, with good results.

Many ways to fish them. I think I own 20-25 in different colors. I also have multiple brands, as posted before some sink faster, slower than the others. With all the colors I still find myself throwing gold or baby bass, tiger on sunny days and gold or bleeding on cloudy days. Also, like wishing said- #4 gammie on the rear, some red some brown. Like the bigger hook on the tail, most fish I catch are hooked on the rear.
