Default OK......who lips em' and who "gets the net"

anyone out there have tournaments where nets are not allowed?
I've been on a few and it really freaks some guys out.
Seems like all during practise everyone just lips them, but come a money pending tournament day, that seater better get his buddies fish lol
I've only had one or two knocked off by the netter by accident, and I am sure everyone has had mishaps with the netting of bass.
At one time the big push for nets were a rubbler like material
that was more user friendly to mr. lunkerlips...
so who out there besides me lips em?

I just got a net, mostly for trout fishing. I will try it and see how it goes for bass.

I don't even own a net. Lip 'em all the way. Unless it is a gator . Think I'll cut the line on that one.

Never net, Always lip or swing. Nets hurt the fish and will cost you fish if you dont know how to use them. Fish2win

ever since power pro I've either swung them in or lipped em unless somebody is with me. I like to get the fish in the boat ASAP so sometimes I may not wait for the net.

I can see it on a worm hook, but a crankbait hook can be tricky..be careful slingin' em in..

If its a nice fish on my finnesse rod, I'll reach way down there sometimes just to lip them and get them in, never bothered buying a net. I'll admit that I do use a net when saltwater fishing though.

Lipping a bass with a crank, just isn't my idea of fun! OUCH, another hole in my thumb/fingers LOL. I agree with JB, swinging a cranked fish into the boat can be a loosing propositon. If I'm not tourney fishing, and I don't want pics anything will work.
