Early or late?

Ok, I really expected more input on fall frenzie so I assume most of the members are as confused as I am. But I wont give up! So, dawn and dusk is usually best fishing time spring and summer. During the" frenzie" is it better to fish after the sun has been out awhile to warm the shallows and maybe bait fish move closer to shore because short water will warm in sun? Also, should presentation be faster or slow like during a cold front? Fished this morning, Temp. 43 degrees, one fish. Used mostly jigs(finese so I could use them traditionally and swim jig them,quarter oz.) Oh, thanks to all who took time to input on original frenzie question!

is 43 degrees the AIR temp or the water temp? see, the water temp will be different thatnt he air temp. if i am fishing in the fall (which i hope to do this weekend) i am fishing from daylight to dark. and i will fish all water levels, form skinny (shallow) to no deeper than 25 feet. i will use whatever the fish tell me they want (and yes i talk to the fish, hahaha. not really), meaning i will use different baits till i get a bite.
if i get bit at 10 fet with a lizzard, i will use what lures i have for that depth. wheather it is a crankbait, jig, worm or wahtever.
in MY experience, i have NEVR done good right after a cool or cold front. have to give them time to adjust. jsut try it at different levels of water and see what happens is about all i can really tell ya pal.

BBrrrrr! Already 43 up there? Here's my take, if the water temp is 60-70 then an early morning bite is most likely regardless of the air temp. If it's in the 50's the mid day bite will likely be better on into the evening.
If the water is less than 50 I would definitely lean towards the late afternoon into the evening depending on how warm the day got.

Sorry, air temp. Fished from shore so did not have temp. gage with. I intend to fish from shore for remainder of the season. Fishing pond close by. Caught 8lb. this year plus numerous 3 plus. I measure more than weigh. It's an old rock quarry, deepest pt. maybe 30 ft.[not reachable from shore},10 maybe 15ft. (reachable); More sand than rock {go figure). Some patches of grass [grass dosn't reach surface and always in like 5 to 10foot patches].

it cooled off after rain here on saturday. went fishing monday and was slayin them, for a sec i thought i could put a bare hook in the water and catch 1. im like u no, normally temp change messes it up for me but for some reason not this time.
