Fiberglass Boat chips
Asking for all the experience out there. I've got a OLDER 80's Monarch Bass boat, with a 80's Johnson 65 hp work horse engine, runs like a champ. All the electronic,, bilge, airwell, new trolling motor and sonar work excellent. There are a few gouges and chips on the boat bottom. It leaks a little, nut nothing major so far. I bought some Marine Tec epoxy putty as I've heard real good things about it. I'm planning on filling in the dings, sanding and painting the bottom. I've heard that there are a few epoxy paints out there that will not only coate the boat but really fill in any imperfections and hair line cracks. Anyone have experience with epoxy paint? I would like to get a few more years out of this boat before I sell her and buy a newer model. I just finished up with cancer treatments and surgury for throat cancer. I want to get some more life out of this boat and make sure I've got some more life in me before spending some larger coin on a new boat. Any help would be great. Transom of the boat is strong and in good shape.
Thanks, Dave |
