Re: having a really really bad day
They believe the alcohol used for the procedure was caught on fire by a cutting or cauterizing instrument. Still how do you explain that to the family? Hi there, Well as you might have seen the fire dept. came in during the surgery. No worry the fire was controlled rather quickly, his toupee was a total loss, but we did manage to keep the chest hair intact. We did have a little problem after that though. It seems during all the excitement that we, well, um kinda forgot to check his vital signs. My nurse was getting one of the firemans phone # and she leaned on the machine and it, well, um kinda got turned off. We did figure it out pretty quickly, but it wasn't quick enough. We did everything we could possibly do for him. Im sorry.
