Default Shadows (my poem)

Shadows

love is beatiful,
O so true,
the pain is much worse,
thinking of you,

only in the darkness,
i feel alone,
no more time wasted,
searching for my home,

please dont forget me,
my soul is lost,
I fell for you,
and i payed the cost,

Hiding in the shadows,
watching you sleep,
now im coming for you,
as i begin to creep,

your life is bright,
playing in a meadow,
my life is gone,
hiding in a shadow,

this isnt fair,
your still alive,
i'm coming for you,
the shadows have eyes,

they will haunt you,
untill you cry,
I will stab you,
untill you die,

you'll be a lost soul,
wondering around,
nows the time for eternal torment,
in the shadows not making a sound,

Its time for vengance,
your in my head,
suffering blood,pain,and misery,
untill your soon dead,

But love was just to beatiful,
its not just a remark,
I'll always be in your bedroom,
hiding in the dark

Nick, Thats almost good. You lost me on the murder thing. All in good time we are going to parish from this Earth, why not spend your energy in negativity when you can be reproducing offspring so in a sense a part of you will still be living long after your dead and gone ?Just a thought is all. :-/ P N J

Nick, I can appreciate this. What I mean by that is that I am a reformed Metal Head. I spent 15 years in the music business as either a Roadie, a soundman, or singing in a Death Metal band. I play Bass Guitar. While i do not listen to it anymore, my favorite band for over ten years was Slayer.

I wrote the lyrics in the band I sang with, and I see potential in yours.
Yes, it is a little dark, but I am looking at it from the viewpoint of someone with some insider experiance. I prefer my Christian and Gospel music now, but It's good.

yeah, at least this one. It has good meter, good measure, and good rhyme. All needed elements for a good song. PM me some of your others and let me see em.

That was good Nick. I write a little poetry myself...tell me what yall think.....
Ahem....(clearing throat)...

I get up, and nothin' gets me down
You got it tough, I've seen the toughest around
And I know, baby, just how you feel
You got to roll with the punches and get to what's real

Can't ya see me standin' here
I got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen
Can't ya see what I mean?

Might as well jump. Jump!
Might as well jump
Go ahead and jump. Jump!
Go ahead and jump

Hey, you! Who said that? Baby, how you been?
You say you don't know, you won't know until you begin

So can't ya see me standing here
I got my back against the record machine
I ain't the worst that you've seen
Can't ya see what I mean?

Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead and jump
Might as well jump. Jump!
Go ahead and jump
Jump!

yeah, it was cool, but to be honest, I dont miss it.
I used to love punk. I think The Exploited was my favorite punk group.Them or Samhain.I never played AND sang, thats tough to do. I did one or the other.
Bassintom, whats your setup. Me, I like a Fender bass, and Ampeg amps.

Nick, I was just busting your chops. ;D ;D ;D Bass Boss, Slayer was from near Zooker & I actually from Ithaca ,NY.So was the Band M.O.D. or method of destruction.Tommy, we should get together call us the pervert patrol geezers or something. ;D My favorite bass set up was a Fender Jazz through a Kustom tube head and an marshall cabinet.I ain't picked up an bass in so long,I'd probably suck.Went to guitar, mandolin, fiddle.I got 14 guitars and 5 amps but Ionly pick up the acoustics as of late.Abad sign of getting old. :'( P N J

WTL, very nice. Sounded vaguely familiar though???? You guys have guitars older than me! Starting to age yourselves a little bit. Played acoustic for a little while when I was younger. Actually have tossed around picking up another one. Maybe could sing the fish in to my boat. 8)

Dang listening to some of these reply's I'm wondering where you guys keep all this tuff, PNJ 14 Guitars, 5 amps, and like 1000 rod and reels, must have a serious storage facitlity for all the stuff you got laying around.

WTL,

Great ;D

Nick,

good poem, rhymes well, but it is way to dark for my taste. I understand it's just a poem, and you aren't an axe murderer or anything? But the stabbing part's way too much for me. This is obviously one of the many reasons I've never been into punk, and heavy metal.
