yes i have let's just say i don't any more..the whole point of fishing is to get away from the ball and chain. a man can only take so much nagging.

Well , I had the misfortune of taking the "old lady" fishin'.......My first mistake was giving her polarized sunglasses and going during the spawn.......We cruised on over to one of the local ponds/small lakes,I gave her a nice spinning gear set up to use with a senko type bait on it and she proceeded to made me look like a fool. She thinks a good cast is one that hits the water, she was catching several bass in the 3-4 pound range I had caught nothing ........aaaaaargh!It was time to go home before it got any worse.........Naturally that night at a buddies house, she ran her mouth about how she out fished me................Kill me now.........

No I dont. I have modified Toms "Im in the belltower approach" to work for me. My boat is my refuge from work and the daily grind. I love my wife dearly but she will not fish with me for multiple reasons. My chitlins on the other hand I will take occasionally, still cant get over the look of pride and accomplishment on the face when they boat a fish. 8)

Once took the "ex" wife. She thought that laying on the back deck would help her get a suntan. Well it did, as a matter of fact she got 3rd degree "sunburns".
I have to admit that I wasn't paying attention, after all I was fishing !
She didn't beg to go any more !

Come to think of it, most of my "female friends" actually like to fish, they are just the, "You unhook the fish for me."

Took my fiancée fishing with me about a year ago and she actually got seriously hooked on the whole thing. Ok, I also made the mistake of taking her along during the spawn for the first time. But since then we have been fishing trough the winter and tough times, she complained a bit about the cold during the winter mornings but never took the bait when I recommended that she stay home for the day.

She is really getting very good with the whole bass thing, she pitches on par with most average bass fishermen and she has since fished with me in two tourneys in which she outfished half the people including me in one tourney !!!!! The Humiliation!!!! :-[

I enjoy spending the time with her on the water, we both have pretty demanding jobs so it gives us a good amount of time to spend together and it leaves me with more time on the water! I don’t think my normal fishing buddy is to happy about the whole deal!

It will also make it a lot easier when I am planning to buy a big bass boat in a few years!!

My wife is my regular fishing partner. She can cast with a casting reel, tie a palamore knot, rig her own Carolina Rigs, drive the boat, back the trailer, and will fix a fresh sandwich, or pack cold fried chicken and tater salad for lunch.

Over the last couple of years she's had a lot of physical problems that made it harder and harder for her to, but she kept trying. Even when I had to lift her out of the boat and take her to the car after the day was over.

Since she's had a couple of operations, and she appears to be in a lot better shape than I've ever known her to be, I'm looking forward to her outfishing me next year.

Cajun, you know what I'm talking about! Great to have the missus fishing with ya!

It's mixed feelings when she bags the big one, but its nice to build up some shared fishing stories!

yes. I am blessed with a wife who loves to fish, and is good at it too. Granted, she does not care as much for Bass fishing as i do. She is more into cats and bluegill, but hey, i can dig that. At least she goes.
