Default JackL

Hey JackL, I finally seen the movie Deliverance. All I have got to say is that is one sick movie, but I should have known since you took the time to mention it a while back. I bought a new mandolin, should be here any time, you got me scared being out here in the hills during Halloween season, I am running like a raped ape if I start hearing the banjo's play. Thanks JackL lantern. ;D P N J

I've seen a few small parts of that movie, and all I'm saying is that I'm never going on a canoe trip in the backwoods of georgia. PNJ you should have known the sec that jackl mentioned it.

Man last summer I was fishing from my boat on the upper stretch of the elk river and I looked up and there was a hillbilly standing right on the heavily forrested bank looking at me. I had just seen that movie for the first time earlier in the year and needless to say I kicked the trolling motor into high gear and got the heck out of there.

P N J,

Often times I swear I can hear the faint sound of banjo's when reading some of the stories on this site. I can almost see the boy sittimg on the porch playing!

Its about some city boys who on a whim decide to take a float trip down a completly wild river that is fixing to be dammed. On their journey they encounter some extremly unpleasent hillbillies and the wrath of mother nature. Its a very good movie, but its disturbing - especially one scene in particular.

It's funny that you guys should bring that movie back up, and then this morning I get up and it is showing on the Arts & Entertainment channel. Somehow I can't see that as a Arts classic.

FIREMAN,

I could see where the meal scene at the rooming house could be shown for etiquet education in some circles. 'Specially the old woman with no teeth gumming her food.

;D You guys really crack me up. ;D It was either Jackl or Jersey Joe that originally brought it up years ago, I just happened to remember stupid things like that.Jackl , the wacked in the head thing reminds me of the movie Easy rider with Jack Nicholson in reference to being wacked in the head. ;D P N J
