I have the 5500 C3, and I use it for most everything......from jig and plastics to cranks and spinnerbaits.....its a bit slow for buzzbaits but otherwise a good all around reel.

Its actually a good reel for all of those. Its best for lures over 1/4 or especially 3/8th oz. Millions of bass have been landed on the design, its 'old reliable' so to speak.

Flipping and pitching jigs or throwing heavy spinners is what I use mine for .

I have a trusty and well used C3 5500 that I use for throwing my C-Rig. Makes a little nose compared to todays baitcasters, but it still gets the job done every time out.

I use the 4600 c4 for all my fishing. I fill them with 15lb. or 20lb green trilene big game line. They work well for me. Very dependable reels.

Buy a newer C3 abu reel. They have a 6 pin centrifugal weight system instead of only having 2 weights like the old ones had.

Use mine for Fluke fishing.
I prefer low profile baitcasters for fresh water. Just a little lighter for me.
