Default adjustable drop shot

i discovered one day will rigiing up my drop shot rod a way to make it adjustable.use two rubber bobber stops.one above the hook and one below.it was super easy to adjust and when you push the two stops together against the hook it also held it horizontil.

Or just use some split shots and slide them up as you want/need to. I started using split shots over a year ago. I just tie a knot at the end of the line, so if I get hung up, it just pulls off the weight, not the whole rig. Very good idea though on the bobber stoppers.

comes in handy when you are trying to achieve the right level off the bottom..Many times in heavy vegetation you have to put the hook up higher on the line than you would on a rock bottom or in timbers

What exactly are these bobber stops? I sure would like to be able to adjust the length without retieing but I am afraid they will slide on hookset, albeit a light one.
I leave the maximum amount of line out past the hook then just move the weight around now and wrap the tag end of the line into the keeper on the weight.

You know, whenever I use slip bobber, I use a rubberband tied in a knot around the line as a stop... always have, it's how my dad taught me. anyways, does sound like a good idea though, I'll give it a try, what softplastic you guys recommend for dropshotting?

I just had another idea rotfl. Why not just use a bullet weight and a peg-it?
